Joshua Buatsi, whats next

He expressed heavy emotions after suffering his first ever defeat against the Olympian. This proves to show that  Joshua Buatsi  deserves to be fighting at world level. Maybe even compete for the world title immediately.

On the other hand, Buatsi would still like to acquire further training experience with Virgil before a world championship fight. He will possibly return sometime in the summer like July to compete against another tough competitor. This will be in the U.S. and then one of the champions in the division.

Yafai suffers shock defeat/Richards and McCarthy get the job done and envisage bigger fights/Dalton Smith proves

Fight of the night must go to Gamal Yafai losing in a unanimous decision against the 25-1 underdog from Doncaster Jason Cunningham, who knocked Yafai down 3 times in the fight by using his reach and boxing skills to snatch off the European title from the Birmingham star.

Yafai would probably request a rematch against Cunningham to reclaim his title and proceed with his career, but another defeat would exacerbate his goals in boxing and maybe consider retirement.

Richards and McCarthy both captured their victories in fashion with McCarthy stopping Alexandru Jur in the 6th round and Richards snatching a wide decision against former world champion Giovanni De Carolis winning every single round on the scorecards.

McCarthy will go on and defend his European title against Chris Billam-Smith in an all-British clash, whereas Richards will be making a step-up to challenge world title contenders like Chris Eubank Jr. or Gabriel Rosado.

Smith proved his dominance in the ring with his excellent counterpunching, hand-speed, and footwork. The big prospect will now move on to challenge for a British or European title and incrementally climb up the ranks to later become an elite fighter.
