FAI announce broadcast deal to show men and women’s football

The Football Association of Ireland has tonight announced a series of new broadcast deals to show men and women’s League of Ireland football this season.

RTÈ Sport will show 60+ SSE Airtricity Premier Division matches broadcast across the Irish terrestrial tv channel RTE Tv, and it’s streaming platform WATCHLOI on watchloi.ie up until June

Every production cost, single cent and profit will go to the clubs in the first division.

LOITV is a new FAI platform where fans can stream every SSE Airtricity First Division matches for the season. LOITV will offer, for the first time ever, streaming of all SSE Airtricity Women’s National League matches free of charge on loitv.ie. Pixellot cameras are to be installed in every ground before the 2021 season to help with the streaming.

The Pixellot system uses artificial intelligence with HD cameras to deliver a top-quality viewing experience with the cameras used in many leagues worldwide. The streaming service will also be available to the coaching and analysis staff at all clubs.

The first game on TV in the SSE Airtricity is a Friday night clash between St. Patrick’s Athletic and Shamrock Rovers on Friday, March 19, followed by Waterford v Sligo Rovers on Friday, March 26 and Shamrock Rovers v Dundalk on April 2.
