Saracens Women play Harlequins women in the Premier 15s final this weekend. Both contest the final for a third time, with Saracens having won on both previous occasions. The game will take place at Kingsholm is at 4pm on Sunday.

I interviewed Beth Wilcock for Harlequins women for Riverside radio. She explained to me that Harlequins are ready this time despite losing the two previous finals. She also said she was grateful for Harlequins giving her chance, when rugby wasn’t a big part of her life.

Wilcock linked up with the England Sevens squad for the 2019/20 season. In June 2019, Beth made her first senior appearance of the World Series in Biarritz. She was then part of James Cooper’s squad who finished runners-up at Rugby Europe Women’s U18 Sevens Championship in Jarocin.

Beth joined the sevens programme from Harlequins after appearing in England U20s’ [15s] Tri-Nations Cup matches in July, She made her first appearance of the 2019-20 season in Cape Town and scored her first try against Fiji in a fifth-placed play-off at the Sydney Sevens.
